September 27, 2012
3 pm - 4:30pm

Webinar presentation by Dr. Chris Smart, Cornell University. Flooding in 2011 spread Phytophthora capsici into fields with no history of the disease. Growers who have not managed P. capsici previously could inadvertently and permanently spread the disease to additional fields and could experience high rates of crop loss due to improper management of the disease. Understanding of P. capsici will reduce the probability of these negative outcomes on eastern NY farms. This is the first of a series of three webinars dealing with identification and proper management of this disease. You can attend the webinar at the Ulster, Clinton, or Rensselaer County Extension offices or you can register with lgm4@cornell.edu to receive the webinar link so that you can view the webinar from your home computer.
