Late Summer Orchard Meeting

Join us for a late-summer orchard meeting. We will start with a tour through J.L. Knight and Son's new storage and packing area, and owner Jeremy Knight will discuss his experience with Hazel 1-MCP sachets.  Cornell researchers and extension specialists will then give talks on management tasks to be mindful of late in the season as we head into harvest.

Please join Gas At Site for a HarvestWatch technical workshop, focused on understanding the Dynamic Controlled Atmosphere - Chlorophyll Fluorescence (DCA-CF) monitoring technology for low oxygen storage of apples. The workshop will provide practical tips and training for utilizing the technology during the storage season.

We'll tour Dyer Farms' vegetable fields, view an experimental laser scarecrow set up to deter birds, discuss insect, disease, and weed scouting and management recommendations for sweet corn and pumpkins, and cover crops for vegetable rotations.

New Weed Management Technology Survey

Want to move away from herbicide reliance? Are you using novel technologies to manage weeds? We want to know about it to inform our weed science research.
