If your farm revenue is $350,000 or less and you have at least three years of farm financial records (tax returns with revenue and expenses from farming) you are likely to be eligible for a crop insurance program through USDA-RMA called Whole Farm Revenue Micro-Farm Crop Insurance.  This crop insurance product insures farm revenue, is heavily subsidized by USDA and requires much less recordkeeping than other insurance programs.  Liz Higgins will walk you through this insurance program, show you how it differs from the NAP program (offered by USDA-FSA) and can help you evaluate whether or not it makes sense for your farm business.

 Join ENYCHP specialists for an in-depth review of topics covered on the NYS DEC pesticide applicator certification exam. This two-day virtual course includes explanation of key concepts on the core exam, test-taking tips for the core and category exam, practice questions, and Q&A with instructors. This training is geared toward certification categories 1A (agricultural plant), 21 (field and forage), 22 (fruit), and 23 (vegetable).

Here are some key facts and helpful tips about medical clearance:

Medical Clearance ? Fit Testing (They are not the same!)

Before you can wear a respirator or be fit tested, OSHA requires a medical evaluation under the Respiratory Protection Standard (29 CFR 1910.134). This evaluation must be conducted by a licensed healthcare provider to determine if you are physically able to use a respirator safely.
